Scotland has some of the best renewable energy resources in the whole world. Huge progress has been made, in particular with wind, where 10 out of the 31 days of May have produced enough wind power to supply 100% of the country's electricity requirements. Coupling existing projects with energy storage will be mean that energy can be supplied to consumers at the times of day when they need it.

Scotland will hopefully be setting some very ambitious targets to de-carbonise energy production and can lead the way for the rest of the UK to follow.
