More policy uncertainty in solar, this time in Ireland. Since the cut in support for large scale solar projects in the UK, developers have been very active in securing land rights in Ireland despite having certainty on the level of financial support for PV projects. Clarification on the levels of support are overdue now. Lets hope there is some clarification soon so that projects can get under way that will help achieve Ireland's renewable energy target.

There are also increasing calls for more community engagement with projects in rural areas. Community engagement is crucial for project's success and acceptance and is a very important as an educational tool demonstrating the potential of renewable energy.
