Whilst the UK government continue to take leaps backwards into 'old thinking' around energy, business continues to go in the other direction. The UK has long been a bastion of innovation in all kinds of technology. Let's hope Brexit doesn't kill that, nor the government for that matter!

The 'internet of energy' is coming, and this is a great example of what is possible now. Not 'soon', not 'in the future', but now. Reduction in costs for solar, wind and energy storage is killing outdated energy economics and business models. When will the government wake up to this? From what I've heard so far from the new BEIS department, not for some time yet!
