This truly does mark the end of an era in UK solar. The ROC scheme has been hugely influential in helping to deliver the majority of the UK's solar capacity. I'm looking forward to seeing the latest figures on where the UK is in terms of total PV capacity now. The closure of the ROC scheme also sees an end to the skewed cycle of PV deployment and the Mad March connection rushes. 


With more and more developers discussing subsidy-free projects, this certainly doesn't spell the end for large-scale ground mount PV projects in the UK. We're now entering new territory, never a dull moment on board the solarcoaster...
