Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, has today presented the UK's unwavering support for developing technologies. I think this highlights the UK's ambition of being a global hub of innovation in the future & it will ensure our place at the forefront of the global driving revolution. We have taken a huge step towards securing a strong & stable future for Britain (pun intended). We will need to establish an advanced regulatory framework in order to encourage the sales & functionality of electric vehicles. Once the preserve of sci-fi, mass market EV is just around the corner. A vast amount of companies are spending billions on developing EV vehicles, I think its appropriate we all turn our attention to the roads that they appear on & our EV infrastructure as a whole. In addition, manufacturers are investing a great deal in R&D to offer consumers more accessible, advanced & affordable products. We are very proud to be working with some of the leading E-mobility companies to recruit the top talent they need to drive the e-mobility sector forward. Our clients operate across the e-mobility supply chain, from vehicles to batteries to Electrical Vehicle charging infrastructure.
The Government will spend £400m on a new charging-infrastructure fund, an extra £100m on the plug-in vehicle grant, and £40m for research into charging.
