Managing Partner at Hyperion Executive Search Ltd

About Me

I am an industry expert and insider. My industry knowledge and network mean I help clients in the energy storage, e-mobility and related fields, find the key talent they need for their businesses or divisions to succeed. I do this quickly, discreetly and professionally.

Our list of clients and testimonials is second to none, the most recent here.“For the expansion of my team at LG Chem, I was looking for somebody who could help find the right candidates. David came across as an extremely well connected individual with a legendary "keep calm" attitude from which I could truly learn. Although we had to re-adjust our search due to a variety of reasons (none of them related to him or Hyperion!), he reacted in a pretty customer friendly way and most importantly, he found the right candidates. If you are looking to expand within the ESS world in Europe, David is your man”. Santiago Senn, Director ESS for EMEA, LG Chem.

I was until recently Chair of the Onsite Renewables & decentralised energy Sector Group for the Renewable Energy Association (REA) and sat on their policy board. I also Chaired the Energy Storage Alliance for Solar Media. I recently gave these up due to international work commitments. I have over 19 years experience recruiting core talent, both in the UK and internationally.

Between 2007 and 2013 I became an expert in renewable technology and sustainable business. Starting and growing a renewable energy installation business from scratch to £6.4m turnover, winning many awards along the way.

I have spoken about business and the economy on ITN News, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live, and in the Financial Times. I have also spoken specifically about renewable energy on BBC Radio 4, BBC regional radio, and had various articles, papers and opinion pieces published in places as diverse as, The Independent, Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian, FTadvisor, regional press and various national and international trade publications.
