Interesting developments in the European residential energy storage space with Eguana entering into the market. Last year Hanwha Q CELLS revamped their residential storage offering with a range of DC coupled products. Now they have completed their range with Eguana's AC-couple storage offering. With Germany reaching a total of over 100,000 residential energy storage installations last year, the German market should be strong for Hanwha Q CELLS. As it is AC-coupled it is a cost-effective way to retrofit to existing solar plants as well as being able to access smart time-of-use cheaper tariffs to charge the battery overnight.
Hyperion have been recruiting top talent in the energy storage sector for the last three years working with market leading companies such as sonnen, LG Chem and Hanwha Q CELLS. Myself and and a number of colleagues will be attending the Energy Storage Europe event in Dusseldorf next week. If you are looking to recruit top talent into your team or are looking for your next career move in the sector, please get in touch.
“Q CELLS searched the market for an AC-coupled solution that could be incorporated into our Q.HOME package. We believe that the Eguana Enduro is the product that best exemplifies our commitment to best-in-class products, quality, and reliability for our consumers and Q. PARTNERS. “Our 2018 residential installations across Europe surpassed 15,000 customers. The addition of the Eguana Enduro to our Q.HOME package will allow us to continue this growth trajectory and maintain our leadership position,” Q CELLS head of business development and system solutions Vincent Lim said.
